Cornwall is a hot spot for surfers. One of the best known areas is Newquay, but if you’re a real fanatic, the place to ride the waves is Sennen. This stunning beach, close to Land’s End, hosts some of the most impressive waves and is favoured by surfers both locally and from around the world.

Sennen is approximately a 20 minute drive away from the hotel and we are happy to arrange transport to and from the beach. And it doesn’t stop there….we can book lessons with a fully qualified instructor, to cater to all abilities. All the kit is provided on site, from wetsuits to boards. So all you need to do is turn up and enjoy!

Alternatively, at a slightly slower pace, what about fishing…. This is a very popular, relaxing past time and Lamorna Cove is just a minutes walk away from the hotel. This spot offers some of the most successful and reliable locations for catching a variety of fish. For beginners, the pier itself is great; for the more advanced, looking for seclusion and bit of a challenge, there are hot spots just off the coastal path that your guide can advise you on.

If that doesn’t hook you, we can also book you on local angler boats, to go searching for even bigger fish, from Congar Eels to Sharks. The hotel will provide all the kit you need and your guide can instruct you on assembling and using the rods and reels.
