Yesterday evening, local village residents and all the hotel crew got together, as Lee threw a last minute, surprise farewell do for Pablo! Yes, we’ve lost another, well loved member of staff, who’s off abroad to sunnier climes.
In fact, Pablo’s about to embark on running his very own venture in Spain and we’ll keep you updated about it right here. He’s set to open his very own restaurant and bar, in just a few days time! This is an opportunity of a lifetime, one he obviously, couldn’t afford to miss, but one which will cause us all to miss him loads. All we can say is that we wish him all the luck and love in the world and we expect to see him back to holiday with us each and every year.
That aside, the evening itself was perfect. Everyone gathered early around 6.30pm for wine and tapas whilst Lee collected and propelled Pablo back up to the hotel under some false pretence. And boy was he surprised….A crowd, hidden out of site in the restaurant, sprang out with cards and presents, as he walked in the door. Everyone partied on till around 9.00pm and then a handful of closest friends and colleges, stayed back for a private supper and final exchanges.
